Wyo Sports Ranch What began as a modest plan for a single prefabricated court quickly evolved into an ambitious multi-court facility, designed to serve young athletes across the entire region. The project was driven by the vision of a Wyoming woman: a second-generation philanthropist - and, above all, a mother - who established a non-profit organization to bring the concept to life. The program grew to encompass a ten-court basketball facility that is overlain with twenty volleyball courts, along with generous support spaces. Interchangeable flooring adds flexibility, converting courts to indoor turf fields for year-round use. The layout consists of a central lobby flanked by two wings: a six-court wing and a fourcourt wing. A continuous concourse houses support spaces and facilitates circulation, while a linear spectator rail offers unobstructed court viewing. State-of-the-art digital displays offer dynamic event updates and interaction, contrasting with a warm interior design that integrates weathered wood and ranch-inspired details - rooting the facility firmly in its regional identity. Throughout the facility, contributors are recognized while regional sports legends are spotlighted providing moments of inspiration to young athletes. The exterior material palette reflects a modern interpretation of traditional Western architecture. Composite wood panels ground the base, while accents of rusted steel canopies and "eyebrow" window elements bring texture and warmth. Horizontally oriented metal panels, stacked like hay bales, play against vertically ribbed panels evoking classic board-and-batten siding. A sculptural light tower - visible from the adjacent highway - serves as both a nighttime beacon and a daylight lantern, washing the interior with natural light.
